Traditional Rajput Khanda Sword – Khanda Sword of Honor & Heritage
The Khanda isn't just a sword — it's a story. Engrained deep in Indian history, the Khanda (Sanskrit transcript: खड्ग) is a double-edged straight blade admired and valued by Rajput clans and deeply embossed across Hindu, Sikh, Jain, and Buddhist traditions. This unmatched legacy and design is carried from temple traditions to martial practices.
This Khanda sword is made with care and precision by Kraftmart’s skilled Indian artisans, not mass-produced in factories. Its long carbon steel blade is built in the true Khanda style — wide, straight, and ending in a descent edge. The steel is highlighted with brass inlay stripes, each one hand-fixed using traditional rivets.
The blade is intentionally blunt for legal compliance in India but can be sharpened if needed. It’s formed through traditional fire forging, involving hammer strokes and oxy-welded joins between the blade and hilt. The joining process of hilt and blade is done with the help of laakh (an Indian adhesive) and also acts as a secondary reinforcement for this Khanda sword. This confirms durableness and sturdiness.
The handle is made of solid brass, shaped with an engraved cushion grip that fits firmly in hand. It gives the Khanda sword a regal balance and a royal touch, which can only be experienced once it is taken into hand.
